OUR HISTORY
NorMac Equipment Sales was started in 1989 by Colin MacKay, after being in the Irrigation manufacturing and distribution business for 30 years, with RainBird Canada.
In 1994, his son, Rob MacKay, joined Colin in Western Canada. Prior to joining Colin as the Western salesperson, Rob had been involved in irrigation on the distribution and contracting side. He also installed landscape lighting and ponds, while teaching seminars on irrigation installation.
GROWTH
With a strong influence on customer support and structure from Colin, NorMac continued to grow and add staff as the landscape markets grew in Canada. Offering hands-on approach to selling and distributing irrigation and landscape products to the Canadian market place, NorMac continued to flourish. In 2000, Colin sold NorMac Equipment to Rob and retired to enjoy life golfing and visiting family.
TODAY
With NorMac Equipment now in its second generation of MacKays, our company continues to support our customers with integrity, professionalism and knowledge.
Our Mission
NorMac Equipment has been a Manufacturers’ Agent in Canada, for the Pool / Spa and Landscape markets, since 1989. With offices in both Western and Eastern Canada, we cover the country from coast to coast. Our focus has always been to deliver the best service and support for our customers, with a Canadian perspective.
Our knowledge, professionalism and experience in Canada, allows us to support our customers and their contractors. Whether it be in the Irrigation, Landscape Lighting, Pool/Spa or Landscape markets, NorMac can assist. We call on and work closely with Engineering, Architectural and Municipal groups; with this support we can build relationships that last a lifetime.
